„My dumb stepdad is drowning in a submarine“ ist ein Lied vom TikToker und Musiker „Ultragabe“. (Der offizielle Titel des Liedes lautet „My dumb Stepdad“ (Sink-182).)
Ultragabe erstellte und veröffentlichte einen Liedteil (als Snippet) am 22. Juni 2023 auf TikTok als satirische Reaktion auf die Tweets des Stiefsohnes eines der Opfer des Titan-Unglücks im Juni 2023. Am 30. Juni veröffentlichte Ultragabe den ganzen Song auf gängigen Streamingplattformen.

Während der Stiefvater (Hamish Harding) im Uboot Titan um sein Leben bangte, tweete der Stiefsohn (Brian Szasz), dass es wohl möglich geschmacklos ist jetzt bei einem Blink-182 Konzert zu sein, aber dass seine Familie wollen würde, dass er jetzt hier (bei dem Konzert in San Diego) ist. Denn Musik helfe ihm in schwierigen Zeiten.

Den Liedtitel „Sink 182“ schlug die TikTok-Userin MGD vor. Das ursprüngliche Snippet hatte gar keinen Titel.
Innerhalb weniger Tage hatte das Lied und Video auf TikTok über 500.000 Aufrufe.
In den Kommentaren diskutieren User, ob das Lied jetzt mehr nach Blink-182, Good Charlotte oder Scotty Doesn’t Know klingt. Manche User merken an, dass der Song sehr einprägsam sei, trotz des Themas.
