Vladimir Shmondenko aka Anatoly: Pranks
Vladimir Shmondenko became known for his pranks of power athletes in the spring of 2023. He dressed up as a lanky-looking gym caretaker called „Anatoly“ who wants to clean up where other weightlifters train with (very) heavy weights.
The pranks run as follows: Anatoly wants to clean up where power athletes have just trained with heavy weights. Those who see Anatoly think that he can’t lift the heavy weights. But – then comes the punch line – Anatoly lifts the weights with ease and the weightlifters are flabbergasted.
The punch line is that the lanky Anatoly destroys all prejudices and lifts heavy weights with ease.
In other roles, Vladimir Shmondenko amazes the weightlifters by wanting to train in disguise as a grandfather. At first he seems shaky and weak. But then he gets going and shows what he can do.
Another prank sequence is as follows: Anatoly wants to give advice. The pumped-up bodybuilders are amused by this. Then Anatoly shows what he can do and amazes the power athletes.
What is Powerlifting?
Powerlifting is the international name for a competitive sport, which is also called powerlifting in German. This competition takes place in the field of heavy athletics and consists of three disciplines.
What are the disciplines in powerlifting?
Squats, bench press and deadlift are the main disciplines in powerlifting. In order to achieve the best possible results in competition, training focuses very strongly on these exercises. However, that’s not all, because in order to strengthen the athlete’s general fitness, other units are sensibly added to the training plan.
What are the differences in powerlifting?
There are two variations of powerlifting. On the one hand, there is raw powerlifting. Here, no additional auxiliary devices are used during the execution. Equipped powerlifting, on the other hand, is much different. In this variation, supporting means are used. These can be bandages, belts or even entire suits. These aids are made of a special material, which when used leads to significantly increase the performance of athletes.
What are the benefits of powerlifting?
Regular training in powerlifting has many positive effects on the human body. Not only is one’s strength increased, but also the cardiovascular system is improved. Due to the regular load on the heart, it is strengthened and can thus handle physical stress much better.
